About Us
NASARA Telford Group is a Muslim, Ghanaian-led community organisation serving families in Telford and Wrekin.
What We Offer
NASARA Telford Group offers a range of faith-based and community services for Ghanaian Muslims and the wider community in Telford and Wrekin. Our activities include Islamic education, youth and family programmes, nikah and aqiqah support, counselling and advice, cultural events, and community welfare initiatives delivered in suitable hired venues.
Madrasah
Our madrasah offers Qur’an, basic tajwid, and essential Islamic studies in a friendly, structured setting for children and young people. It helps them grow in faith and character while staying connected to their Ghanaian Muslim identity and community.
Counselling & Advice
Our counselling and advice service provides confidential, faith-based support for individuals, couples, and families. Guided by Islamic values, trusted volunteers and elders listen, offer practical guidance, and signpost members to further help where needed.
Ramadhan Activities
Special Ramadan services such as iftar and taraweeh coordinated to create a welcoming environment for individuals and families. We also coordinate special programmes and reminders to help families and youth strengthen their connection to Allah throughout the month.
Kids Activites
NASARA Telford Group provides fun, engaging activities for children that combine play with Islamic learning and good manners. Through games, stories, and age-appropriate sessions, we help young children build love for Allah, the Qur’an, and their Ghanaian Muslim identity in a safe, family-friendly environment.
Community Activities
NASARA Telford Group organises regular community activities that bring families together for social connection, learning, and mutual support in Telford and Wrekin. These include gatherings, workshops, and events that strengthen unity, promote positive values, and encourage members to take part in wider community development.
Nikkah & Aqiqah
NASARA Telford Group supports families with key life events such as nikah (Islamic marriage) and aqiqah (newborn celebration) in line with Islamic principles. We help organise the religious aspects of these occasions in suitable hired venues, working with families to create simple, meaningful gatherings rooted in faith and community.
