NASARA Telford Group is a Muslim, Ghanaian-led community charity based in Telford and Wrekin, established to serve Ghanaian Muslim families and their extended relatives living in the area. The association was formed to provide a united platform where families can preserve their Islamic faith and Ghanaian identity while successfully navigating life in the UK.
NASARA is open to all Ghanaian Muslims and their families, and welcomes friends and well-wishers who share its values of respect, peace, and community service, regardless of tribe, political views, or social background. The group places strong emphasis on unity, encouraging members to support one another in times of need and to build a close-knit, family-like environment.
As a faith-based community organisation, NASARA Telford Group works to strengthen the connection between Islamic teachings, British civic values, and African (especially Ghanaian) culture. It creates a space where elders, youth, men, and women can come together for worship, learning, social activities, and mutual support, guided by Islamic ethics and a clear constitution.
