Here at NASARA Telford Group, a Muslim Ghanaian community organisation in Telford and Wrekin, we offer a range of services to support Ghanaian Muslim families and the wider community. If you’re interested in learning more about what we offer, please explore the services listed below.

Please note: NASARA Telford Group does not currently own a mosque or community centre. All our activities and programmes are delivered in hired venues within Telford and Wrekin, announced in advance to members. We are actively seeking funds and support to secure our own dedicated venue for the community in the future.
Islamic Education
Classes and circles focused on Qur’an reading, basic tajwid, Islamic beliefs, and practical guidance on living as Muslims in the UK.
Learning spaces for children, youth, and adults to ask questions, build Islamic understanding, and connect knowledge with everyday life.
Islamic & Religious Services
Occasional congregational activities including prayers, Qur’an reminders, and faith-based gatherings for all ages.
Special Ramadan services such as iftar and taraweeh coordinated to create a welcoming environment for individuals and families.
Support with key Islamic life events such as nikah (marriage) and aqiqah, in line with Islamic principles and community practice.
Counselling, advice and faith-based support
- Confidential counselling, advice, and pastoral support for individuals, couples, and families seeking guidance on personal, marital, or family matters.
- Faith-based support from the Imam, elders, and advisers to help members navigate challenges while remaining grounded in Islamic values.
Youth and family engagement
- Programmes and events designed to engage Ghanaian Muslim children, teenagers, and young adults, helping them grow in faith, character, and confidence.
- Family-focused activities that strengthen relationships at home and build a supportive, extended-family community in Telford and Wrekin.
Education and cultural programmes
- Educational sessions and workshops that promote life skills, personal development, and positive role models for the community.
- Cultural activities that celebrate Ghanaian Muslim heritage while helping members understand and live positively within British society.
Community welfare and support
- Informal advice, signposting, and moral support for members facing personal, family, or social challenges, guided by elders, advisers, and the Imam.
- Support for members to participate in community development, social welfare, safety, recreation, and leisure projects in Telford and Wrekin.
Events and community centre activities
- Planning and delivery of community events, celebrations, and gatherings throughout the year, ensuring they are organised, peaceful, and family-friendly.
- Coordination of activities at the community centre so members always find a safe, welcoming space to connect, volunteer, and serve.
